Over the next several months, I’ll be training to complete the Santa Barbara Half Marathon, and I’ll be raising money to support AIDS Project Los Angeles. This will be the first time i take the challenge and train to run 13.5 Miles. I am looking forward to this great experience that I will be sharing with my STUDIO DNA team. I am sharing this with you guys because this is where you come in, If i could have your support in donating toward my fund, the goal is $2400 before November, and I can’t do it without your help. PLEASE support and forward to any friends who would love to. Thank you, I appreciate your efforts.

Audrey Kawasaki’s Opening Reception

One of my favorite artists and inspiring influences is a Japanese American woman named Audrey Kawasaki. Her work depicts sensuous young women on wood panels, with a strong emphasis on line quality and facial expression.

Audrey will be showing her new paintings here in Los Angeles CA at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery this summer. The opening reception will take place on July 3oth 2011 from 8pm to 11pm. The exhibit will run through August 27th 2011. I highly recommend checking out her work if you are not already a fan. Hope to see you there!

The perfect Birthday Look…

anyway i found THE one and to my surprise when i go to order its out of stock. i’m in the process of emailing the company and begging/demanding that i get this beautiful thing asap! Here is the one i want….

Love the “mod” look of her make up, lots of lashes and nude lips!!

mk4

also love the idea of a loose and sort of messy updo like this one!

Could also go for a really dark dramatic lip rather than the mod. i love lips!

We are having the party at the Griffin in Downtown LA! Should be a blast.

now tell me, what do you guys think about the birthday look? any suggestions, loves, hates?!

[Me Outside of MOCA]

Growing up in LA i have always been exposed to street art (graffiti art)and have always had a facination toward it.

Which is why i was super excited when i found out about the Art in The Streets Exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art. I attended the exhibit on Monday with an old High School Friend of mine that is graffiti artist who was able to explain the origin and how great some of the artists at the exhibit were.

I TOTALLY recommend to all you street art fans to go out and see it.

Here are some of my favorites.
