I once again had the privilege of working LA Fashion Week. Not only LA Fashion Week, but Concept LA Fashion Week held at the Ace Gallery.
I must admit, Concept has by far been one of my favorite to work for since I’ve been doing Hair/Make Up for Fashion Week since 2007. It is like any other fashion event, lots of fashionistas, runways, hair, make up and craziness, but what sets Concept apart is the edgy creativity that comes from designers to make up artists to hairstylists. We have had the freedom to do some reallly EDGY crazy hair and that is definitely the best part!
This Season I stuck to just doing Hair and whenever I got a free second I took pictures of as much as I could!

If you haven’t already saw Vogue for October be sure to get a look below. Michelle Williams taking on the role of Marilyn Monroe in her new film that is set to be released soon called “My Week with Marilyn”. In preparation for the film she did this beautiful shoot with Annie Leibovitz, styled by Tonne Goodman, and hair by Oribe.
I really enjoyed this spread with Michelle in Vogue. The styling was phenomnal with retro wardrobe. The feel of the photography was very clean and playful. I really love what Oribe did with her hair, it was set really classy and also had an undone lived in feeling to it in some of the shots that were in the field outdoors.
Here a few of the photos I fancied from the shoot.

Marilyn Monroe will always have a special place in my heart, she was such a unique beauty.

Elizabeth Olsen, Zoe Kravitz, Ava Sambora, Lily Collins, Lourdes Leon … the list goes on and on!! The “list” of what, you ask?? Its Hollywood’s own legacy of future fashion icons! Flipping through the pages of some of the world’s most prominent fashion magazines, we’re beginning to see a greater presence of new faces but with those slightly familiar features!
Venturing into the world of the silver screen as well as the fashion world, some of Hollywood’s biggest names are paving the way for their children and siblings to keep their family name a force to be reckoned with! Some past legacies that have left a mark in the entertainment industry are the Barrymore’s (Drew), Fonda’s (Bridget) and Presley’s (Lisa Marie and NOW Riley Keough)!
Although this figurative passing of the baton isn’t anything new, it is definitely something exciting to look forward to with each generation since the idea isn’t going away anytime soon. Especially considering that the next “next” wave of the Hollywood generation is starting out even earlier with the likes of the Jolie-Pitt, Rossdale and Beckham clans as well as Miss Suri Cruise; all of whom I’m sure will keep us on the edge of our seats with their sure-to-be iconic sense of fashion!!
