Wondering what would be the best haircut and haircolor for your personality and lifestyle? Here are a couple of suggestions that will help you and your hairstylist determine your perfect look.
- Research for a salon and a hairstylist that fits your style.
- Book for a haircut or haircolor consultation with the hairstylist first. This allows you to meet with your hairstylist and discuss your service details.
- Bring pictures to your first visit, as this will help you and your stylist communicate better about your expectations.
Tips: If you are only interested in a haircut, bring pictures that are of haircuts of your similar haircolor,thickness, and texture. If you are only interested in haircolor, bring pictures of the haircolor you desire as your end result. If you are interested in both, bring a picture of the haircut and haircolor you desire as your end result.
- During the consultation, you and your hairstylist should communicate any possible concern, questions,and maintenance about your service so that both of you are on the same page. This will only prevent any misunderstanding that could later have unwanted results.
- At the conclusion of your consultation, you and your hairstylist should have determined what would be the best haircut or hairstyle for your personality and lifestyle by scheduling the time and date that would best suit you for your service.

I find it so funny that regardless of the fact that some of us do not believe in horoscopes, there is that one time that we decide to check it out and that’s the one that comes true. I read in my Leo horoscope during my birth month that I was going to experience something life changing. Sounds scary for us Leos, huh?
Well, I have to tell all of you that the experience I had was definitely life changing in many ways.
Oribe Gives Amazing Advice
I had the honor of meeting the Leonardo DiCaprio of the beauty industry- ORIBE! It was the most inspirational and eye opening experience of my entire life. He really helped me understand hair in a very artistic way. We definitely are all artists in our field especially when given the opportunity to work in Fashion or Editorial. He showed me that hair is a free flowing canvas.
This challenged my sometimes structural perspective. He really taught me not to think too much of the theme of things and just to create. To just take a risk. This has vastly improved my work and life.
Can you agree with me when I say that we often doubt the extent of out creativity so we become scared of risk. OMG! I did but not anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Imagine what our lives would be like if we were not afraid of taking risks. It would be wonderful and not full of doubt. I challenge you in the same way that Oribe did for me and take that risk, whether it be with work, love, or family. What’s the worst that could happen?

Be My Surger Girl
I wonder why the summer can’t give us a small break when it comes to our hair. During the Fourth of July weekend is when I realized that my hair starts getting lighter in certain areas and it loses it’s shine due to the salt water. Trust me surfers, as a surfer girl myself, I know the feeling.
Even if I am a hairstylist my hair definitely starts taking a beating right about this month! But I have amazing news and trust me it works! For the past three summers I have been using Gelee Aqua-Proof by Kerastase and I absolutely love it and live by it during the summer.
It is an actual wet resistant sunblock for the hair that contains UVB filters to protect hair against the drying effects of the sun, salt water and pool water. All you need to do is put a quarter size of it on showered damp hair and you are set to go. Seriously surfers, it can’t get better and easier than that! Hope this tip helps you ride those waves in style!!!!!!!!!!!!!
