The time of year has come where you can finally wear Messy, Sexy, Tousled hair and how do you achieve this look you may ask?
SIMPLE!
First you start off with a head full of hair, preferably yours! Second, a bottle of Bumble and bumble’s Surf Spray.
Spray Surf Spray all over hair dry or damp, wrap in a messy bun, after about 20-30 minutes let loose and VOILA!
(For wavy-curly you can simply spray in and scrunch with fingers)
I finally get to share images from a 10 page spread for which I did hair and make up. The images were featured in Venus Magazine.
It was such a fun experience, driving out to the middle of the desert to the Salton Sea. The Salton Sea is a forgotten place about an hour away from Palm Springs. Back in the 1950’s it was set up for success, with yacht clubs and water skiing. Unfortunately, things went downhill after a flood. Now it sits there as a deserted town with houses wasting away in the hot sun.
I got to to work with one of my favorite photographers Colleen Durkin and an amazing stylist Krissie Torgerson who provided head pieces by Lauren Machen. Lauren designed the black crown that Lady Gaga wore in the video for “Bad Romance”. It was such a good time, dancing in the middle of the desert from the music in our cars, keeping hydrated, eating energy bars and meeting random people who made the experience that much better.
